Please note: In the event that the in-person 2021 race must be cancelled due to Covid-19, it will be held as a virtual event. Participants can choose not to participate in the virtual race and donate their registration fees to the participating charities instead. There will be no refunds or deferrals in 2021.

about the race
The 10th annual Hattiesburg Half Marathon is officially set for Saturday, April 10, 2021. Returning as in-person road race after being virtual in 2020, the Half Marathon provides fundraising opportunities for participating Pine Belt nonprofits while also attracting runners to the Hub City from numerous states. Voted Mississippi's Best Half Marathon by Race Raves in 2019, the annual springtime race will showcase the city of Hattiesburg with a flat race course. Come join us for a one of a kind run and make plans to bring friends and family so you can experience Hattiesburg on many different levels.

Again this year, the race is focusing on the philanthropic impact a race of this size can make on our community by having charity runners. Previously, charity runners raised $250,000 for local non profits. As a charity runner, you have the option to choose one of 13 nonprofits in the Pinebelt region to raise money and awareness on their mission.

With race participation capped at 1,000 participants, nearly half of the runners in this sold-out event traveled from outside a 50-mile radius over the last two years.

These 14 charities are beneficiaries of the Hattiesburg Half Marathon and will receive a portion of all registration fees. Runners can also sign up as a charity runner. What is a charity runner?
