The 10th annual Hattiesburg Half Marathon is officially set for Saturday, April 10, 2021. Returning as in-person road race after being virtual in 2020, the Half Marathon provides fundraising opportunities for participating Pine Belt nonprofits while also attracting runners to the Hub City from numerous states.

Online event registration opens Tuesday, December 1, and also offers 10K and 5K routes.

Voted Mississippi’s Best Half Marathon by Race Races in 2019, the Pinebelt Foundation led event continues to be a premiere run through the heart of Hattiesburg.

With race participation capped at 1,000 participants, nearly half of the runners in this sold-out event traveled from outside a 50-mile radius over the last two years.

In the event that the in-person 2021 race must be cancelled due to Covid-19, it will be held as a virtual event. Participants can choose not to participate in the virtual race and donate their registration fees to the participating charities instead. There will be no refunds or deferrals in 2021.

The Pinebelt Foundation is honored to host the 10th Annual Hattiesburg Half-Marathon, 10K & 5K. Annually, this event has created a rippling effect of impact on the nonprofits that serve the Hattiesburg area - which allows for the Pinebelt Foundation to lean into its purpose of being the community’s charitable partner.

In 2019, the race was voted the best half-marathon in Mississippi by RaceRaves, and it is a goal of the foundation’s to continue that legacy. We aim to provide a premier race experience for runners from all over, while also using the event as a platform for our local nonprofits to raise awareness and funding for their diverse charitable network.

Very simply, this event is a can’t-miss, and we are working with our partners at the

City of Hattiesburg, Visit Hattiesburg and the United Way of Southeast Mississippi to continue our momentum as a premier road race for the State of Mississippi and the Gulf South region.

I am confident that we have an opportunity for your business organization to be a part of our story, and we hope you’ll join us.
